steyr 55 - a tiny mechanical wonder

finally i started to dismantle the ugly duckling...it is a totally amazing little car, there´s a half rack´n pinion steering, heh but only a half one... theres a small tank for grease, and a pedal for the co-pilot, who can grease up the balljoints while the pilot is driving, think a bout that! the grease system goes to the steering parts, ball joints etc... huh and in 1939 year. ok, the steering is pretty slow for sure, but i can guess that you did get a sweeet ride in this car... ill try to take the front axle combo off, and the rear axle also... more picks coming up. :-) HEY if you got spare parts let me know, floor boards, seats etc... jyrie (@) mac.com

ok, i have an idea to use this tube chassis and/or vw pan for the "dragsteyr", but ill get back on this when the body will be at the garage. It would be "easyest" to use the vw pan, but it still needs some cutting. :-)
well yhe massive "metalcutter" is ready.
