meeting with max stahl


it was nice to meet a true steyr-wizard, max ståhl... we had nice time and he had lots of interesting things to tell, example...we found the body-number.

    I´m here from Austria and my father is one of three Steyr-Register Founders. Congratulations to your great BABY! It´s a very nice retauration basis and hard to get these days!
    My father would collapse if he sees what you perfer to do with this Baby but I agree with some changes not to the original style!
    In Austria after the war many Babaies where converted to "half VW beetles". Many of them where very rusty and the ground floor was completely rotten away. So they put the housing on a Kübelwagen - chassis. Now the Baby was rear engineed and had a little hub on the back to cover the machine. I always want to get such a car to feet it with a strong VW engine and a good roadgoing, deep suspension.
    But these VW Babies are very rare, more than the originals. If you need any information about the Babies, dont hasitate to contact me. My father will help you, even you change the BABY to a monster ( in his eyes )! Go on with this project and have success! Greetings from Salzburg! Mike

  2. hello! thanks for your comments.... heheh, i know many enthusiast will throw up with this...but, i will try to keep the car original looking, but with a lowered suspension, bigger brakes, etc... it will be great.
    the bad one, hmmm... well lets see. ;-) update coming soon.!!!
